Found Organic Cotton Yarn!

Don't you just love rediscovering things?!?!
I do!!
I bough a bunch of 100% cotton yarn forever ago! Along with some red hand dyed organic cotton yarn!
All of which I stumbled upon yesterday while cleaning so I dug out my dishcloth pattern and started knitting away!
I've got 3 blue and white dishcloths finished already and half way through a white one.
I still have purple and red to make!
Knitting is so much fun <3

I also made a bunch of pie crusts this morning
I posted the recipe on my other blog HERE
I'm going to make chicken pot pie for dinner tonight. One of my favorite meals!

hand spun yarns

A few weeks ago in the Big Spenders BNS I purchased some beautiful Aran Weight 2-ply Merino yarn
----> Visit Decadent Delusion's shop <---
"These skein is spun by hand from 100% merino wool roving dyed in a combination of beautiful raspberry pink and peachy orange. The yarn is a traditional two ply and is an aran weight."

I can't describe in words how amazing hand-spun yarn is to work with!
This is my first time and I am making myself a cowl for this winter and i'll be sure to upload the pictures when i'm finished!
I am so excited and I had to share!

I hope everyone is having a fantastic week now that Monday is over! and stay tuned tomorrow is WORDLESS WEDNESDAY <3

If you love a bargain please check out my friend Emily's blog ----> HERE <----
She just started up and it's absolutely wonderful!

My dream car

According to my boyfriend I have very cheap taste in cars ... Now let me clarify I am talking specifically about those old cute cars that are the cool kind of vintage ... this is not your grandma's old Chrysler ... I've always loved old fixer-upers and whenever we're driving around i'm always fawning over old cars we see on the road. Cars that would have rusted out in New England centuries ago. Plus 1pt for the south I guess, not much snow means no chemically enhanced salt means no rusty bodies on cars only 10 years old.

This past weekend we went to Asheville NC for James' birthday. It was awesome! and we're only about an hour and a half away so we'll be visiting often. While we were there I saw this amazing car and fell head over heals and I just had to share!

She is a '91 VW Cabriolet
The Kelly Blue Book for private sale for a Cabriolet in Excellent condition is only 1,200 dollars!!!
And a decent one with some bumps and bruises can go as low as 600 dollars!!
what a steal!!!

Who knew salad could be so tasty

So we went grocery shopping yesterday and have a bunch of fresh fruit and veggies
I decided to do some experimenting for lunch.

First I cut up some baby button mushrooms, sliced a white onion very thing and some garlic.

Tossed it all in a pan with some Olive Oil

I got some lettuce and baby spinach and sliced a fresh tomato

I found some sliced almonds in the cupboard and decided to throw them in with the sauted veg

Once the veg were cooked I moved onto salad dressing
I took the juice from one lemon and smashed garlic
and slowly whisked in olive oil to make an emulsion

And it tastes as good as it looks :-)
